Grocery Distribution

Working downstairs in the express line or upstairs our newly opened main floor grocery store-style food distribution area, volunteers begin by registering each client and their household following guidelines set out by Food Bank Canada.  Volunteers then help clients by filling grocery bags with the allotted food and/or hygiene items based on household composition. This role also involves stocking shelves and rotating stock on the shelves to remove outdated food.  Food is sorted on a first-in, first-out rotation.
