We are open and here for people in Welland during this time of uncertainty and need
Because furniture stores are one of the businesses deemed non-essential by the Ontario government, our Open Arms Mission Warehouse is closed for all furniture sales until further notice, effective immediately.
Normally, our furniture warehouse is a "furniture bank" for people in need (we've provided furniture to formerly homeless people who have found permanent housing, women leaving abusive relationships and having to start over with nothing, new immigrants who arrive with no beds for their children) and it is a source of income as we sell excess furniture and use the money to fund our programs and services.
Now that we have lost that source of income (thousands of dollars a month) until we are able to reopen the furniture warehouse, the financial need is even greater. If you are able to donate, please do!

Our demand is growing. As the numbers of people coming to us increase, we will have greater costs and needs. If you are able, will you donate today and help us reach our goal of $10,000 to help #FeedWelland? Let's come together now, when our community needs us.
We are pleased to announce BCM's (Bertie and Clinton Mutual) donation toward our new low barrier grocery store. We will be able to purchase new freezers and coolers, supported by a grant from the BCM (Bertie and Clinton Mutual) Community Grants program.
Thank you BCM for supporting our community!
