Here is a profile of our very first client to graduate from the "Redeemed Skills Program"
Pam Graduates!!
Pam Rachelle
[presentation of certificate, reference letter, and helpful employment info]
Pam is a Mission client who struggles to make ends meet on ODSP as she is raising her 2 grandchildren. She has successfully completed a 6 week program to re-habilitate her work experience ability in order to find work and supplement her income. She has done just great and has become very skilled in dealing "one on one" with customers. We are excited about her completion of the program as she is the first person to fulfill a dream and vision that we have had at the Mission for 5 years.
CONGRATULATIONS PAM
Open Arms Mission now operates a business called
"Redeemed Goods" at 298 Crowland Avenue in Welland.
Sales in clothing, household items, some furnishings,
some appliances, electronics, tools, Christian books, etc.
We are selling very, very good new and used items
that are donated to our ministry. We are using this
facility to train clients of the Mission to re-enter the
workforce. This business will also be providing work training
to the men in our upcoming long term, faith based,
rehabilitation program for recovery from alcohol and
drug addiction ("Redeemed Lives").
All profits from this venture will help finance the "Redeemed Lives" Program (read about that on our web page under "Redeemed Lives")
